The next monthly general meeting of HSN is on Tuesday 22nd June, 7.30 at the MOTH Club on Valette Street in Hackney.
Following a large meeting HSN held last month at 195 Mare Street, those there decided that as well as continuing to be a network of those who are fighting for fundamental change, we needed to be a group that instead of just circulating news by producing the Hackney Heckler and via the website and Facebook, became a group that provided real solidarity to those taking action and a group that initiates action to.
With massive cuts looming to public services, housing, jobs etc there is much to do, whether supporting existing campaigns like Friends of Hackney Nurseries, as we have been doing, or by taking action ourselves.
We also have many other plans, whether for increasing the frequency of the Heckler, for putting on monthly benefit gigs/parties, a big football tournament and a one day get together of all local campaigns like Haringey Independence day, but we need extra bodies to do all these!
