Hope you can make it to the last Hackney Green Drinks of 2009, on your own or with friends. Green Drinks is an informal regular meet-up for anyone interested in environmental and sustainability issues. There's no agenda or other formality - just chatting, debating, networking and generally connecting. All are welcome and there's always a good mix of regulars and new people.

see message below from UNITE - Hackney Community Transport (now CTPlus service) will be on strike next Friday 27 November and HTUC will do what it can to support our colleagues in their dispute.

As you know we recently established a postal workers support group and we should extend this support to our Unite colleagues as well.

I guess there will be picket lines at the Ash Grove Bus Depot just of Mare street (E8 4RH) so do what you can to get downt there and offer support.

We have canceled our normal monthly Reel News film night as they are in Copenhagen filming around the Climate Summit. Instead we are co-sponsering their Copenhagen report back on Sunday 20th December 1-5pm at Chances, 399 Tottenham High Road.

Monthly film nights will resume in Hackney in January and the second sunday of every month, at the MOTH Club, Valette Street, Hackney, 7-10 om. We are working on a exciting programme of films and discussion with invited speakers and will publish this shortly.

We are having a Christmas party, with lots of games for kids and adults and food to share

It will be at Pogo cafe which is on Clarence rd in Hackney central (straight up from the Narrow way)
