has its own carbon trading system; in the US, Obama is working hard to
push a 'cap-and-trade' system through Congress. But what is carbon
trading? What is the theory behind it? How does it work in practice? And,
most importantly, will it help us avert climate chaos?
Discover the truth behind carbon trading in a unique workshop organized by
the Camp for Climate Action. Kevin Smith (Carbon Trade Watch) will give a
critical perspective on market-based solutions to climate change. There
will also be a screening of the documentary 'The Carbon Connection',
showing the real impacts of carbon trading on local communities, and
plenty of time for questions and discussion. Come along to talk, listen,
