Great film night on the 14th Feb and fantastic discussion again. 20 people saw films about US style organising, the pluses and minuses!, and fascinating ReelNews inteviews a couple of years ago with many of the Black Panthers about their model of community organising. Great debate centred on how we can get the community active but most inspiring to me was Dave Morris's contributions on how in Haringey since he created the Haringey Federation of Residents Associations in 2001 and he and others have put a ton of work into it, they have roughly doubled the number of TRAs to c.160! Something I think we need to do here in Hackney!! http://hfra.wikispaces.com/
